TitleCrew emptying a net full of fish after a dive, Bikini Atoll, 1947
PhotographerUnited States Navy
Date1947
NotesImages documenting the 1947 Bikini Resurvey Project.

Caption in scrapbook: J. M. Dickson, Chief Mineman, empties a net full of fish.

Note from researcher: My father, John Marion Dickison (note spelling is Dickison, not Dickson) was a Chief Mineman diving at Bikini during this period. The blonde gentleman is not my father, but he was a photographer along with many other duties so that photograph may have been taken by him rather than being him. [Of the three photographs of Dickison] two of them are probably him as the hair is dark and wavy like he had, not blonde. He also had a mustache.
