The loop's construction was begun by Alaska Central Railroad, and was later completed by its successor, Alaska Northern Railway--the speeder probably dates this photo to the Alaska Northern period, about 1909 - 1915

Divided back postcard--the presence of "AZO (Triangles in corners)" in the stampbox indicates a date for this postcard of between 1904 - 1918
