AuthorWright, Michael
AbstractMichael Wright thoroughly reconsiders the controversy over Ramkhamhang inscription. Wright reiterates other scholars' statements suggesting that this inscription is a modern Thai literature written approximately in the 19th century. This period falls either during the reign of King Rama III or King Rama IV. He points to several evidences to support the claim made by scholars who do not believe that King Ramkhamhaeng wrote himself the inscription in the 13rd century.
